by becoming a corporate partner.
The International Corrugated Packaging Foundation (ICPF) mission is to generate a stream of increasingly qualified students to enter the corrugated packaging and display industry, now and into the future. ICPF is dedicated to the continued creation and building of partnerships within the education community, assisting in the placement of equipment and other resources to advance corrugated curriculum, the expansion of student internships within the industry and the promotion of corrugated packaging & display career opportunities for packaging, graphic design, business, marketing & sales, finance & accounting, supply chain management, engineering, environmental science, and tech graduates.

We recently attended and participated in AICC's 2011 Independent Design Summit in Salt Lake City, UT with great results. We entered packaging in four categories and earned recognition in all four. Category 11: Best Corrugated Self-Promotion (Structure/Graphics). Hybrid Cars…… Our V.P. of folding cartons has just traded in for a 2011 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid. At up to 41 mpg, the Lincoln will get twice the miles per gallon as his previous car. The company now has nine Hybrid vehicles in the sales and management group. Our fuel consumption for those nine people has dropped by over 900 gallons per month. At 20# of carbon equivalents per gallon of gas, that’s a significant reduction in our carbon footprint, and at over $4 per gallon for gas, a nice savings.

Capital Corrugated & Carton's blossoming Folding Carton business has increased demands on our in-house die shop for shorter turnaround and decreased cutting die costs. We have purchased and installed the Gerber Multibender MBA Series rule bender. The Gerber Multibender MBA Series rule bender ensures all parts are accurate whether we're make 1 piece or 100 hundred pieces. Gerber's "bend first, cut last" method ensures no rule waste, and significantly increases our efficiency in making our cutting dies.

Capital Corrugated & Carton's Easy-Seal tape system is installed and ready for immediate use. Easy-Seal is a secure, tamper evident packaging closure solution ideal for Folding Carton wraps. This new closure system also allows packaging wraps and sleeves to adhere to products that vary in size. Tape widths range from ½" to 2", length is based on your application.

Capital Corrugated & Carton's design department has installed EskoArtwork's Studio Designer to integrate packaging artwork on 3D rotatable mock-ups. Our 3D mock-ups help eliminate the need for multiple full size mock-ups by providing our clients with rotatable PDF files that are small enough to email. To support our continuing growth in Folding Cartons and Litho-Laminated boxes, Capital Corrugated & Carton has just completed installation of a fully automated, state-of-the-art 40" 6-color and coater Litho press. This smaller format, high speed press is a great fit for the specialty Folding Carton market and an excellent addition to our 8-color 56" press.
